Carl Russell McLaughlin, age 79, of Brownstown, Indiana, passed away on Thursday,
July 28, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. McLaughlin was a member of Easyville Pentecostal Church. He was also a member of the United States Army, a truck driver and worked on barges in West Virginia.
Born on November 17, 1937 in Nitro, West Virginia, he was the son of Orval and Cledie Lewis McLaughlin, both of whom preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons, Carl Russell Skinner and Gregory Skinner; and three sisters, Fay Sherfick of Bedford, and Wanda Fischer and Sharon Kay Brewer both of Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was also preceded in death by Kimberly Skinner, Eugene McLaughlin, James McLaughlin and Ruth Kersey.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Jean Pogue officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at noon on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will be at Smallwood Cemetery.
