Alice Marie (Bottorff) Ault, age 70, of Brownstown, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown.
Mrs. Ault was of the Christian faith.
Alice was a nurse in the United States Army, and she retired from R.R. Donnelly after more than 15 years of employment. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Alice also enjoyed watching Nascar and football, and she loved to bake and cook. She was an avid Indianapolis Colts football fan and an avid Kentucky Wildcats basketball fan.
Born on March 30, 1950, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Lee and Beatrice Edwards Bottorff, both of whom preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Brian Ault of Columbus; one daughter, Cindy (Aaron) Fish of Norman; two brothers: Floyd Bottorff and Charles (Sherry) Bottorff; one sister, Mary Schumacher; sister-in-law, Donna Bottorff; 13 grandchildren: Porscha Jolly, Brittany Jolly (fiancé Michael Charron), Zachary (Jolly) Chastain, Brandon (Jolly) Definbaugh, Michael Jolly, Tyler Jolly, Kendra Ault, Skyla Ault (fiancé Cameron Summers), Xander Ault, Chelsea (Jeremiah) Rose, Braydon Fish (fiancé Abigail Bowen), Kaleb Brooking, and Katie Fish; and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Alice was also preceded in death by one daughter, Penny Smith; siblings: Norma Branaman, Jennie Bottorff, Flora Bottorff, Robert Bottorff, and Willie Bottorff; and sister-in-law, Pearl Bottorff.
Funeral services for Alice Marie (Bottorff) Ault will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2021, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Doug Pogue officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2021, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc. Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc. will be practicing social distancing according to CDC guidelines. Masks are required when entering the funeral home.
Military honors will be presented by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled American Veterans 47 and Vietnam Vets 7.
Interment will be at Clearspring Cemetery.
