Betty-Jo Perry, age 87, of Brownstown, Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown.
Mrs. Perry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brownstown and Brownstown Psi Iota Xi. She was an insurance agent with Foster Storey Insurance Co. and also helped her husband at Perry Jewelry Store. Mrs. Perry enjoyed playing golf, Bingo and Bridge.
Born on May 7, 1929, in Brownstown, Indiana, she was the daughter of Ed and Blanche Shelton Boley, both of whom preceded her in death. On December 24, 1946, in Carrolton, Kentucky, she married Clyde Perry and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters: Jacque (Dr. Robert) Gillespie of Brownstown and Debra (Greg) Bennett of Michigan; two grandchildren: Letitia (John) Luciano of Cleveland, Ohio, and James Robert Gillespie of New York City, New York; and three great grandchildren, all of Cleveland, Ohio.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Boley and Edwin Boley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc. with Scott Erwin officiating. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.
Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church of Brownstown or Hoosier Christian Village.
