Beulah Mae Wehrkamp Rieckers, age 90, of Seymour, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022, at The Lutheran Community Home surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Rieckers was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers, for more than 70 years.
Beulah was a homemaker, as well as worked for Dickson's, and the Airport Café. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and loved following politics especially being involved in the Democratic Party.
Born on March 31, 1932 at her home in Seymour, Beulah was the daughter of Leo & Emma (Auffenburg) Wehrkamp, both of whom preceded her in death. On July 16, 1950, in Seymour, she married Earl Rieckers and he preceded her in death, and later married John Pottschmidt and he also preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Steve (Pam) Rieckers of Seymour; five grandchildren: Jessica Sons, Kristen (fiancé Tony Wright) Rieckers, Jayson (Gini) Rieckers, Junior (Charlotte) Fields and Linda Fields; three great-grandchildren: Colin Sons, Kiley Sons, and Everly Rieckers; one sister, Vonnie Bryant; two sisters – in – law: Delores (Norman) Eggersman, and Dorothy Hiscke, and many nieces and nephews.
Beulah was also preceded in death by a brother, Otis Wehrkamp; two sisters: Jean (Harold) Stuckwisch, and Melba (Everett) Redicker; three brothers-in-law: Jerry Bryant, Don Hiscke, and Omer Rieckers.
Funeral services for Beulah Mae Rieckers will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers, with Pastor Craig Muhlbach officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at the church.
Interment will follow at St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring staff at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown.
