Carol Sue Caudill, age 75, of Brownstown, Indiana, passed away at 8:40 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown. She was a member of the Freetown Church of Christ. She graduated from Christianburg in 1956. Her employment included working at Cummins Engine Co., Canfield's, McDonalds and she retired from Hardigg Industries of Columbus. Born on June 4, 1939 in Columbus, Indiana, she was the daughter of Burnell and Susie Wilkerson Ayers, both of whom preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Larry Shultz and Tom Shultz, both of Columbus, Indiana; one daughter, Donna Hart of Seymour; two sisters, Karen Zody and Diane Turner, both of Columbus, Indiana; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by an infant son and two brothers, Roger and Danny Ayers. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown. Burial will be at Christianburg Cemetery in Brown County, Indiana. Memorials may be given to the Hoosier Christian Village Auxiliary.
