Charles "Bill" Wilson, age 77, of Brownstown, Indiana, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Brownstown. He served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1963 and was a life member of the VFW Post 6636 of Salem. He owned and operated Wilson's Locker and E-Z Tan, both in Brownstown. Born on August 14, 1937, in Seymour, Indiana, he was the son of Edgar and Juanita Hatton Wilson, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Betty S. Weddell on February 14, 1958 in Clearspring, Indiana, and she survives in Brownstown. Survivors also include one son, Clyde "Bill" (Tammy) Wilson of Medora; one daughter, Dee Ann (Scott H.) Wilson Singer of Brownstown; one brother, Don Wilson of Medora; one sister, Diana Wienhorst of Ft. Myers, Florida; and three grandchildren, Jon "Nick" Richey of New Albany, Alicia Singer of Brownstown and Kaitlyn Wilson of Medora. In addition to both parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Delhia Sovern and Thelma Birdwell; and one brother, Edgar Wilson, Jr. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Brownstown, with Pastor Jeff Patterson officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, and from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Brownstown. Burial will be at White River Valley Cemetery.
