Gary Lee Miller, age 72, of Brownstown, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Hoosier Health & Living, Brownstown. Mr. Miller was of the Pentecostal faith throughout his lifetime. Gary retired from Cummins Engine Co. in 2003. Gary had a deep passion for music and cherished playing his guitar and singing at Hoosier Health & Living, alongside his friends, Larry Weddel and David Fish. He also enjoyed riding horses and camping with his friend, Dave Wienhorst. Born on August 8, 1952, in Jamestown, Kentucky, Gary was the son of Zolla and Drettie (Oakes) Miller, both of whom preceded him in death. On November 8, 1978, he married Mary Minton, and she survives. Survivors also include one sister, Doris Miller of Brownstown; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents, Gary was also preceded in death by his grandparents: Orvis and Icey Oakes and Estal and Bertha Miller; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services for Gary Lee Miller will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Pastor Chris Criminger officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow at White River Valley Cemetery.
