Marion Dean Schuerman, age 70, of Brownstown, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour. Mr. Schuerman was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers. He was formerly employed at Indiana Department of Transportation and was a farmer. Born on June 12, 1948, in Seymour, he was the son of Alfred F. and Marlene Moenning Schuerman. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Seymour. On November 14, 1970, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers, he married Shirley Eileen Darlage and she preceded him in death on June 24, 2001. Survivors also include one son: Jason Schuerman of Seymour; two daughters: Amy (Brian) Tape of Brownstown, and Jodi (Walter) Batman of Brownstown; one brother, Jonathon (Leann) Schuerman of Seymour; two sisters: Nancy LaMar of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Jeanette (Herman "Buck") Chastain of Brownstown; six grandchildren: Connor Tape, Carter Tape, Hope Batman, Kalika Batman, Lillyan Schuerman, and Haley Schuerman; brother-in-law, Richard (Marilyn) Darlage of Brownstown; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Steven LaMar. Funeral services for Marion Dean Schuerman will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers, with Pastor Craig Muhlbach officiating. Friends may call from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers. Interment will be at St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers Cemetery. Memorials may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers, or St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wegan.
