Martha "Gerri" Cordry

Martha "Gerri" Cordry, age 88, of Bloomington, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022, at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown. Mrs. Cordry was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church for more than fifty years. Martha was a bookkeeper. She loved her husband dearly, as they did everything together, and she adored her children. She also loved watching television. Born on December 20, 1933, in Paducah, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Ona Hasten and Maude Culp McAllister, both of whom preceded her in death. On May 23, 1952, she married Leibert Leon Cordry and he preceded her in death on November 24, 2017. Survivors include one son, Ronald Lee Cordry of Brownstown; one daughter, Diana Cordry; one brother, Don (Jeanne) Culp; and one sister, Jewell Mack. Mrs. Cordry was also preceded in death by siblings: Ernestine Beineke, Judy Pindell, Charles Culp, Glen Culp, Dennis Culp, Mac Culp, and Ranal Culp. Funeral services for Martha "Gerri" Cordry will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with David Mullens officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow at Vahalla Memory Gardens, Bloomington.
