Marvin Wayne Patton, age 76, of Norman, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Patton was a member of Liberty Christian Church and he retired in maintenance from Wal-Mart Distribution Center, Seymour.
Born on December 11, 1939 in Livonia, Indiana, he was the son of Harold Cletus and Alice Marie Tincher Patton, both of whom preceded him in death. On October 15, 1960, he married Brenda Karen Enochs and she survives in Norman.
Survivors also include two sons, Gregory Wayne Patton and Marlin Ray Patton, both of Norman; five brothers, Ivan Richard Patton, Ronald David (Cindy) Patton, Roger Cletus (Betty) Patton, Jerry Lee (Linda) Patton and Terry Ray Patton; four sisters, Bonnie Lou (Milton) Doan, Connie Sue Godbey, Sandra Kay Blount and Donna Jean (Ronnie) McCabe; four grandchildren, Karen Marie Patton (Daniel) Blocker, Gregory Wayne (Tabitha) Patton, Jr., Ethan Andrew Patton and Dylan Cole Patton; and three great grandchildren, Bre'anna Karen Blocker, Nylah Lorraine Patton and Lucas Daniel Blocker.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Eugene Patton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Ron Plumer officiating. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, and from noon until the time of the service on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will be at Liberty Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Liberty Christian Church.
