Mary Ann Grelle

Mary Ann Grelle, age 90, of Seymour, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Covered Bridge Health Campus, Seymour. Mary Ann was a faithful member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Seymour, for 72 years. She was a cook with the Seymour community schools for 33 years. Mary Ann loved attending church. She also loved walking around town, cooking, working outside in her flowers, and sewing. Born on February 21, 1933, at her home in Brownstown, Mary Ann was the daughter of Henry K. and Louise Wolka Terkhorn, both of whom preceded her in death. On March 25, 1951, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Brownstown, she married Marvin L. Grelle, and he preceded her in death on August 18, 2001. Survivors include three sons: Steve (Becky) Grelle of Seymour, David (Tammy) Grelle of Seymour, and Mike Grelle of Indianapolis; three daughters: Cheryl (Mike) Clark of Seymour, Lisa Seniours of Seymour, and Sandra Grelle of Seymour; nine grandchildren: Leah (Mark) Bowling, Angie (Steve) Porter, Cari (Josh) Engleking, Megan (Darrin) Bohall, Sarah (Andy) Luedeman, Dustin Grelle, Brandon (Rachel) Grelle, Michael (Jessica) Grelle, and Keaton Seniours; and 15 great-grandchildren. Mary Ann was also preceded in death by six brothers: Robert Terkhorn, Paul Terkhorn, Fred Terkhorn, Rolland H. "Pete" Terkhorn, Henry K. Terkhorn, Jr., and Omer H. "Buzz" Terkhorn; and four sisters: Leona Stahl, Helen Smith, Margaret Spurgeon, and Dorothy Terkhorn. Funeral services for Mary Ann Grelle will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2023, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Seymour, with Pastor Andrew Currao and Pastor Zach Huffman officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2023, at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Interment will be at Lutheran Cemetery, Brownstown.
