Michael Allen McCory, age 60, of Brownstown, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 23, 2020.
Mike was employed at Rose Acre Farms for over 36 years and was currently Vice President of the Human Resources Department.
He loved his family and was passionate about his job and also his work family. Mike also loved horseback riding, riding motorcycles and jeeps, and playing softball with his brothers in his younger years. He loved all sports and was an avid I.U. fan and hunter.
Born on February 10, 1960, in Seymour, he was the son of Jerry and Sandra Norris McCory, both of whom preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons: Chad (Ashley Brooke) McCory of Bruceville and Bryce (Shelby) McCory of Seymour; one daughter, Chelsey (Brandon Michael) Briner of Vallonia; three brothers: Mark (Sherry) McCory of North Palm Beach, Florida, Marty (Lisa) McCory of Floyd Knobs, and Monty (Monica) McCory of Sunman; six grandchildren: Madison McCory, Camden McCory, London McCory, Bransen McCory, Mayleigh Briner and Brooks Briner.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at the funeral home. Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc. will be practicing social distancing according to CDC guidelines. Masks are required when entering the funeral home.
