Renee Hallett

Renee Hallett, age 71, of Brownstown, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Hallett was a member of the Brownstown Christian Church. She was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in the position of stenographer. She retired from the Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown. Born on June 27, 1944, in Clearspring, she was the daughter of Aaron Lewis and Ethel Gray Hubbard, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Harry Hallett, Jr. on January 27, 1977 and he survives in Brownstown. Survivors include three sons, Aaron Smith of Seymour, Pat Smith and Edmond (Whitney) Hallett both of Brownstown; one stepson, David (Mary) Hallett of Brownstown; two step-daughters, Nancy Mills of Seymour and Timberly Trueblood of Columbus; two brothers, Noel (Juanita) Hubbard of Bedford and Paul Hubbard of Brownstown; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. In addition, she was preceded in death by one brother, Steven Smith. As to her wishes, the family has chosen cremation. A memorial service will be conducted at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 16, 2016 at the Brownstown Christian Church with Doug Pogue officiating.
