Sarah L. Nieman-Toot

Sarah L. Nieman Toot, age 50, of Columbus, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Hickory Creek of Columbus. Sarah attended St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers. She loved her family, loved helping others, and was always eager to please everyone. She also enjoyed crocheting. Born on March 1, 1969, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Wilbur and Irene Esther Claycamp Nieman, both of whom preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Shane (Chelsea) Toot of Ohio; one grandson, Tobias Toot of Ohio; one granddaughter, Lillian Toot of Ohio; two brothers: Byron D. (Winna) Nieman of Crothersville, and Eric (Jennifer) Nieman of Kentucky; one sister, Rebecca J. (Jerry) Freeman of Columbus; one niece, Hannah Nieman of Columbus; and two nephews: Ethan (Brianna) Nieman of California, and Noah Freeman of Columbus. Funeral services for Sarah L. Nieman Toot will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2019, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Pastor Craig Muhlbach officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers Cemetery.
