Scot James Green, age 60, of Seymour, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at I.U. Health Methodist in Indianapolis surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Green was semi-retired after working in the IT industry for many years. Scot loved traveling to Michigan to see lighthouses, working on computers, and spending winters in the snow. He was a music lover and enjoyed playing the drums. Scot belonged to the Seymour Jaycees, and he volunteered at the Fear Fair for more than ten years. Mr. Green was an avid Detroit Red Wings fan, Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and Michigan Wolverines fan, and he loved his two cats, Arty and Cleo. Born on August 8, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of Jim and Norma Markley Green, both of whom preceded him in death. On November 9, 2013, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, he married Leslie Diane Davers, and she survives in Seymour. Survivors also include one daughter, Savannah Green of Las Vegas, Nevada; two sisters: Leslie Long of Fort Wayne, and Sally Snyder of Desert Hot Springs, California; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services for Scot James Green will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Vallonia Cemetery.
