Shiela Jean Stout, age 66, of Freetown, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour.
Mrs. Stout was a member of the United Christian Church.
Shiela retired from Valeo. She loved her family, and she enjoyed spending time with them. She also loved her dog, Bella. Shiela enjoyed gardening, eating out with her husband, attending concerts at the Nashville Opry, and helping care for her mother-in-law, Patty Stout.
Born on August 18, 1956, in Seymour, Shiela was the daughter of Henry and Shelby Laws Jones, both of whom preceded her in death. On September 1, 1996, at Ratcliff Grove Christian Church, she married Robert Eugene Stout, and he preceded her in death on May 31, 2017.
Survivors include one daughter, Aimee (Phillip) Rigsby of Seymour; one brother, Mike (Janice) Jones of Commiskey; two grandchildren: Josiah Rigsby and Treyton Rigsby; nephews: Travis (Sadie) Jones, Zach (Megan) Jones, Justin (Cynthia) Jones, Theron (Whitney) Jones; nieces: Shanda (Jude) Geswein and Heather (Robbie) Lewis; sister-in-law, Mandy Jones; one great-great niece; and several great-nephews and great-nieces.
Mrs. Stout was also preceded in death by a brother, Tony Jones.
Funeral services for Shiela Jean Stout will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Pastor Ray Jones officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc.
Interment will follow at Smallwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association or The American Kidney Fund.
