Sue Taylor, age 76, of Brownstown, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2019, at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown. Mrs. Taylor was a member of Freetown Church of Christ. Sue loved spending time with her family and friends, camping with her family at Delaney Creek Park, and also loved doing crafts. She loved to be able to help others in the time of need. Born on March 27, 1943, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Cecil and Geneva M. Arnold Perry, both of whom preceded her in death. On October 8, 1971, in Hayden, she married Vernon Taylor and he preceded her in death on January 23, 2017. Survivors include two sons: Mike (Kathy) Baughman of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Richard Baughman of Seymour; one daughter, Lisha Baughman Self of Seymour; one step-son, Joe (Dorothy) Taylor of West Terre Haute; one step-daughter, Karen (Cleve) Nielson of Port St. Lucie, Florida; one brother, Buck (Mel) Perry of Seymour; one sister, Jane Perry of Brownstown; grandchildren: Justin (Adrienne) Baughman, Seymour; Travis Baughman, Seymour; Joshua Self, Seymour; Denise Baughman, Indianapolis; David (Lindsey) Baughman, Alabama; Mitchell (Brittany) Baughman, Tennessee; Katie (Sean) Brennan, Virginia; Reid (Melissa) Baughman, Seymour; Kellen Baughman, Colorado; Brenda Soinski, Indianapolis; Brandon Taylor, Linton; Deanna Jones, Terre Haute; Misty Taylor, Terre Haute; Lillee Taylor, Terre Haute; Jennifer (Dwight) Phillips, Seymour; Alex (Briana) Nielsen, Florida; Amberley Bays, Florida; 34 great-grandchildren; and 4 great great-grandchildren. Sue was also preceded in death by a sister, Connie Jo Perry Myers; and two brothers: Gene Perry and Phil Perry. Funeral services for Sue Taylor will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 6, 2019, at Freetown Church of Christ with Joe Stalker officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2019, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday, September 6, 2019, at Freetown Church of Christ. Interment will be at Freetown Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Freetown Church of Christ. Online memorials and condolences may be given at www.spurgeonfh.com
