Vickie Lynn Nichols, age 66, of Seymour, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Seymour Crossing. She loved reading books and doing word puzzles. Born on June 10, 1955, in Edgar County, Illinois, she was the daughter of Robert and Iris McCauley Wimsett, both of whom preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Patrick Mattern of Seymour; two daughters: Dawn Matten (Anthony Medina) of Sacremento, California, and Heather (Rick) Blaker of Medora; four sisters: Robin (Mike) Ghering of Fenton, Michigan, Kade McNaughton of Statesville, North Carolina, Teresa (Doug) Jacobson of Washington, Utah, and Colleen Mankin of Terre Haute; grandchildren: Bailey Davis, Alia Davis, Lyza (Benjamin) Beeza, Tyler (Dartagnan) Mattern, Breonna Mattern, Tailer Mattern, Sierra Buyao, and Jordan (Bridget) Davis; and great-grandchildren: Mazikeen Davis, Zola Davis, Aramis Smith, Tiberius Smith, Leighton Mattern, Elias Medina, Benjamin Beeza, Jr., and Sophia Beeza. A Memorial Service for Vickie Lynn Nichols will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Brownstown Christian Church with Pastor Mitchell McIntyre officiating.
