    Tammy Dianne Pearson

    January 14, 1964 - February 24, 2021

Tammy Dianne Pearson, age 57, of Freetown, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, Columbus. Tammy was a member of Freetown Church of Christ. She worked as a welder at Arvin Industries, worked at Jackson County EMS, and was a member of the American Legion. Born on January 14, 1964, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Ronald Pearson and Iris Dianne Anderson Gilliam, both of whom preceded her in death. Tammy possessed a seriously wicked sense of humor and lived life with her whole heart. She loved her son, Jayron Trevor Pearson; he was her entire world, her “gentle giant”. Tammy was an avid fisherman, loved camping, and enjoyed hugs and 70’s music. She loved to dance and sing. Tammy met and married Georgia (Corbin) Pearson on October 26, 2002, after a long, true love story of 18 years that weathered ups and downs, sickness and health, and laughter and tears. Their love became “let’s make a family; once together, never apart”. She lived for her family and put them first in her life. Her family was her heart and soul. Georgia survives in Freetown. Survivors also include one son, Jayron Trevor Pearson of Freetown; like a daughter, Courtney Rose of Freetown; one brother, Scott (Christine) Pearson of Columbus; three sisters: Tanya McDonald of Seymour, Melissa (Greg) Schmidt of Tennessee, and Holly (Ryan) Reel of Hope; in-laws, Richard and Sharon Corbin of Edinburgh; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, who were all so precious to her. She was a friend to everyone she met with a true heart of gold. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Destiny Shilo Alderson; one brother, Ronald “Fran” Pearson; and her maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents. Funeral services for Tammy Dianne Pearson will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at Freetown Church of Christ with Barry DeWitt officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Freetown Church of Christ. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc. will be practicing social distancing according to CDC guidelines. Masks are required when entering the church. Memorials may be given to Freetown Church of Christ. Online memorials and condolences may be given at www.spurgeonfh.com
