Vicky Jo Pittman

Vicky Jo Pittman, age 63, of Brownstown, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022. Mrs. Pittman was a housewife, and she loved her family dearly. Family was very important to Vicky. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and she loved spoiling her children and grandchildren during the holidays. She also loved baking and cooking for her entire family and for her friends, camping with her family, playing the piano, shopping, and traveling to new places with her husband. Born on May 12, 1958, in Seymour, she was the daughter of James Martin and Clara Mullins Roll, both of whom preceded her in death. On January 28, 1979, she married Douglas Raymond Pittman and he survives in Brownstown. Survivors also include two sons: Steven (Christy) Pittman of Brownstown, and Joseph (Jordan Nichols) Pittman of Des Moines, Iowa; two daughters: Stephanie Jones of Brownstown, and Marvina Chavarria of Brownstown; two brothers: Marty (Christine) Roll of Columbus, and Tom (Lena) Roll of Seymour; and six grandchildren: Logan Chavarria, Jamison Chavarria, Alex Chavarria, Mackenzie Pittman, Grace Pittman, and Sebastian Jones. Besides her parents, Vicky was also preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Roll. A Celebration of Life for Vicky Jo Pittman will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Pastor Mitchell McIntyre officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow at Kurtz Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring staff at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown.
