Obituary

Allison Marie Richart, age 38, of Seymour, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, December 15, 2024, on the family farm surrounded by her loving family.
Allison was a lifelong member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Seymour.
Professionally, Allison was a cornerstone of the family business, Richart Pro Mow, LLC, where she invested in over two decades of service.
Allison shared an unbreakable bond with her son, devoting herself wholeheartedly to his upbringing. Alongside her love for family, she took great pride in being a godmother and found joy in exploring her passion for Civil War history and folklore of Big Foot.
Allison's love for the outdoors was a defining feature of her character, as she enjoyed fishing and riding her 4-wheeler around the farm. She cherished playing music, cooking, and smoking meat.
Born on April 18, 1986, in Seymour, Allison was the daughter of Kevin and Terrie (Allman) Richart, both of whom survive in Seymour. On November 19, 2016, on the family farm, she married Ashley N. Mayo, and she survives in Seymour.
Survivors also include one son, Brantley Cady of Seymour; two brothers: Darin (Kayla) Richart of Indianapolis, and Jordan (Erica) Richart of Seymour; maternal grandmother, Gwen Hutcheson; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Allison was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Donald J. and Wilma Richart; her maternal grandfather, J.C. Allman; two uncles: John Allman and David Pollert; and one cousin Cristen Pollert.
Funeral services for Allison Marie Richart will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Seymour, with Father Dan Staublin officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Seymour.
Interment will follow at Saint Josephs Catholic Cemetery, Four Corners.
Memorials may be given to St. Ambrose Catholic Church, St. Ambrose Catholic School, or Schneck Medical Center Hospice.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring staff at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc.
