Brenda Kay Schrader, age 75, of Seymour, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Columbus Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family and close friend.
Mrs. Schrader was a member of Medora United Methodist Church, and she faithfully watched the weekly services of Brownstown Christian Church and Mt. Pleasant Church of Bedford.
Family was of utmost importance to Brenda, and she loved her family dearly. She was blessed to be a mom, devoting herself to raising her children and caring for her grandchildren. Brenda was a caring homemaker, and she especially treasured her role as a mother and grandmother. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, tending to her flowers and garden, spending time outdoors, and watching fireworks.
Born on July 4, 1950, in Seymour, Brenda was the daughter of Jack and Lois (Davis) Roller, both of whom preceded her in death. On September 4, 1981, she married Richard Schrader, and he survives in Seymour.
Survivors also include one son, Shawn (Sara) Todd of Seymour; three daughters: Angela (Bryan) Andrick of Bedford, Amber (Jim) Littlejohn of Mitchell, and Kristy Stidham of Seymour; two stepsons: Bob Schrader of Vallonia, and Rick (Connie) Schrader of Brownstown; Nicole Mings, who was like a daughter to Brenda; 12 grandchildren: Derek O’Neal, Brittany (Clayton) vonWahlde, Kayla Reed, Tanner (Harley) Hawkins, Jacob Todd, Kaylyn (Cash) Metzger, Brenna (Bailey) Baker, Brennen (fiancé Karliee Cunningham) Stidham, Gage Andrick, Camden (Kaylah) Andrick, Avery (Klint) Miller, and Allison (Kammon) Simpson; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Andrea (Greg) McPike of Medora; brother-in-law, Glenn Durham of Vallonia; two aunts: Pearl Ann Davis of Medora, and Juanita Freeman of Ft. Myers, Florida; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Brenda was also preceded in death by one sister, Jill Ann Durham; two brothers: Andrew Roller and Ronnie Ray Roller; and one nephew, Alex McPike.
Funeral services for Brenda Kay Schrader will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Medora United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Medora United Methodist Church and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the church.
Interment will follow at White River Valley Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Medora United Methodist Church, HOPE Medora Goes Pink or Donor’s choice.
