Christa Marie Hobbs, age 70, of Seymour, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 1, 2020, at her residence.
Christa was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Vallonia, for more than 45 years. She worked as a waitress and was also a factory worker. Christa loved spending time with her family, playing cards and board games, sewing quilts, and gardening.
Born on September 1, 1949, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Paul and Ethel Christopher Stuckwisch, both of whom preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters: Angela (Eric) Zellner of Seymour, and Lisa Warner; one son, Timothy Hobbs; one brother, Larry Stuckwisch of Tampico; three grandchildren: Marcus (fiancé Jerica Spall) Fish, Makayla Warner, and Journey Warner; and five great-grandchildren: Noah Fish, Ryan Fish, Reid Fish, Greyson Griffin, and Kadence Bratcher.
In addition to both parents, Christa was also preceded in death by a brother, Roger Stuckwisch; and sister-in-law, Kathleen Stuckwisch.
Funeral services for Christa Marie Hobbs will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Vallonia, with Pastor Jordan McKinley officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Vallonia.
Interment will be at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Vallonia.
