Colten Riley Stout, age 26, of Brownstown, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023.
Colten worked in construction for many years.
He loved his children dearly, and he loved the outdoors. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, and collecting arrowheads.
Born on September 16, 1997, in Bedford, he was the son of Jeremy and Charity (Sturgill) Stout, both of whom survive in Brownstown.
Survivors also include one son, Hunter Stout; four daughters: Paisley Stout, Leilani Stout, Jayla Stout, and Riley Stout; two sisters: Santana (Ian) Walls of Crown Point, and Breanna Stout of Seymour; paternal grandmother, Patricia Stout; several aunts and uncles; and his girlfriend, Ericka Roehrig.
Colten was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Morris Stout; and his maternal grandparents, Debbie and Donnie Sturgill.
Funeral services for Colten Riley Stout will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Pastor Mark Roberts officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023, at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Smallwood Cemetery, Brownstown.
Memorials may be given to palliative care at Columbus Regional Hospital.
