Courtney J. Dotson, Jr.

Courtney Dotson Jr., age 84, Medora, passed away at 3 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2013, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour. Courtney retired as a first lieutenant with the U.S. Marine Corps. Born on October 23, 1928, in Anderson, he was the son of Courtney J. and Dorothy Owen Dotson, both of whom preceded him in death. On September 6, 1953, in Indianapolis, he married Gladys Irene Dewar, who survives in Medora. Other survivors include one son, Allen (Lynne Kolze) Dotson, St. Paul, Minn.; and two grandchildren, Laura Dotson and Eian Dotson, both of St. Paul, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will greet friends 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Spurgeon Funeral Home Inc., Brownstown.
