David A. Lane, age 67, of Radcliff, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Baptist Health Hardin, Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
Mr. Lane retired from the United States Army after serving 24 years. His service was awarded with many service medals, some of which include, the Bronze Star Medal with Device “V”, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (5th Award), Army Achievement Medal (2nd Award), Army Good Conduct Medal (7th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars (BSS), Kuwait Liberation Medal (K), and Kuwait Liberation Medal (SA). He served tours in Germany, Kuwait, Iraq, Fort Hood, Texas, and Wisconsin.
Survivors include one sister, Donna Figg of Brownstown; sister-in-law, Wanda Lane of Medora; two nieces: Julie (Ronnie) Maxie of Freetown, and Lori Duncan; two nephews: Leon Lane of Medora, and Tracy (Annie) Lane of Medora; stepmother, Laquita Lane; and a host of extended family & friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert “Dick” and Dixie Lane; two brothers: Donnie Lane and Herb Lane; one sister, Beverly Ross; one nephew, Scott Ross; and one niece, Angela Lane.
Graveside services for David A. Lane will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at White River Valley Cemetery, Medora.
Local funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring staff at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown.
