Dianna Mikels Root, age 52, of Vallonia, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Root was a member of Leesville United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.
Born on April 13, 1964, in Seymour, she was the daughter of David and Anna Day Mikels. Her father preceded her in death and her mother survives in Norman. On June 1, 2014 in Tennessee, she married Eddie Root and he survives.
Survivors also include two stepsons, Axel Root of Vallonia and Ryan Branaman of Brownstown; one stepdaughter, Tabby Root of Vallonia; two brothers, Don (Becky) Mikels of Bedford and Randy (Rose) Mikels of Norman; two sisters, Jody (John) Taylor of Norman and Jessica Fleetwood (Bill Sebastian) of Brownstown; and two grandchildren, Zander Root and Krayton Root.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Pastor George officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Valley Home Cemetery, Freetown.
