Donna Mohr Brown (Brownstown and Indianapolis, IN) passed away peacefully on May 8, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Born to Wallace and Viola Mohr on June 3, 1935 in Acton, IN, she attended Franklin Central High School, Indiana University and Franklin College. After marrying her soulmate and life's love, former Jackson Circuit Court Judge Robert R. Brown, they moved to Frankfort, Germany (courtesy of the U. S. Army), where they developed a life-long love of international travel. Settling in Jackson County upon their return, Donna was a devoted wife and mother. She later obtained an Associates Degree in Interior Design from the University of Louisville and operated the Donna M. Brown Design Studio in Seymour, IN for many years thereafter. After her beloved husband's death in 2011, Donna volunteered as a children's reader at the Indianapolis Public Schools, Indy Reads, and the St. Mary's Child Center. She had unbridled love for her family, friends, children, birds, the Lake & Forest Club, reading and humanity. She is survived by her beloved and devoted family: son, Jeff Brown, Seymour, IN; son, Doug Brown (Constance), Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Kristen Bryant (Doug), Greenwood, IN; grandchildren: Chad McCory (Ashley), Bruceville, IN; Nicole Vaughn (Eric), Greenwood, IN; Blaine Buschmann (Katie), Noblesville, IN; Robert Brown,II (Ashley), Chicago, IL; Abigail Bryant, Austin TX; Bryant Buschmann, Greenwood, IN; and Andrew Brown, Indianapolis, IN; great grandchildren: Madison, Camden, London, and Branson McCory; Taylor and Samantha Buschmann; and Oliver and Elliana Vaughn; brother, Larry Mohr (Margie), Carmel, IN; Brother in law, Bill Brown (Sue), Southport, IN; Sister in law, Sue Lockmiller (Don), Johnson City, TN; and beloved cousins, nephews, nieces, grand- nephews and grand-nieces. Memorial contributions honoring Donna may be given to the Judge Robert Brown Jackson County Juvenile Home in Brownstown, IN, or the St. Mary's Child Center in Indianapolis, IN through Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc. Donna will be celebrated at a private family celebration of life at a future time.
