Duane Roy Darlage, age 75, of Brownstown, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour, with his loving family by his side.

Mr. Darlage was a devoted member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Medora, for more than 20 years and faithfully volunteered his time helping with the church dinners.

He later began a long career with Duke Energy, formerly Public Service, where he held various positions before retiring. In addition, he founded and owned Small Fry Pedal Implements for more than ten years.

Family was very important to Duane. He loved his family dearly and especially cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed attending drag races with his wife, driving to various places to get flowers for their yard, and cooking.

Born on July 6, 1950, in Seymour, Duane was the son of Melvin and Leona M. (Oberman) Darlage, both of whom preceded him in death. On January 16, 1971, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, he married Charlene Faye Speer, and she survives in Brownstown.

Survivors also include three daughters: Gina Darlage of Seymour, Rebecca Darlage of Brownstown, and Rachel Darlage of Columbus; three grandchildren: Jordan Ellis, Logan Overshiner, and Reid Darlage; two great-grandchildren: Kyla Wickey and Maizie Overshiner; two brothers: Dennis Darlage of Florida and Donald Darlage of Brownstown; two sisters: Joyce Lariviere of Florida and Carol (Klay) Caudell of Seymour; and sister-in-law, Brenda Darlage.

Duane was also preceded in death by two brothers: Ronald Darlage and Gary Darlage; and brother-in-law, Ernie Lariviere.
