Obituary

Eileen M. Moyer, (Neen and later Nana) age 92, passed peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior at the home of her daughter in Montrose, Colorado on Monday, January 15, 2024.
She was born on December 2, 1931 to the late Thomas and Agnes (Thomson) Morrison. She was the youngest of four and joined her sister Janet, and brothers Robert (Roy) and Thomas. Tragedy struck her family when her beloved brother Tommy's plane went down off the coast of New Jersey while serving as an Air Force pilot.
On October 10, 1953, Eileen married her grade school and high school friend, John V. Moyer. Eileen had been voted "Most Peppy" and her future husband "The Clark Gable of Cheltenham High." They enjoyed 57 years of marriage until her husband's death in 2010.
Soon after the death of her brother, her husband decided to study for the ministry. They moved from Cheltenham, Pennsylvania to Concordia Seminary in Springfield, Illinois. While living there they were blessed by the arrival of three children. Two other blessings arrived while serving at their first congregation in Wauseon, Ohio.
She is survived by her son Tom (Gwen) Moyer and their children Jonathan (Lisa), Samuel (Dianne), Emily (Carl), and Peter; her daughter Kim (Tim) Onnen, and their children Kathryn (Matt), Jacob, and TJ; her son JV (Nancy) and their children Jordan (Tyler), Kathryn Suzanne and Sean.
She was also blessed with 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughters Janet (Jim) Ortega and Susan (Randy) Emmons. Janet's children are Adrian, Andreia (Nick) Kervan, Thomas, and Clara. Susie's children are Kelly, Natalie (Chris) Stosberg, Luke, and Adam. Her grandson Stephen Onnen also preceded her in death.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Brownstown, Indiana where her husband served from 1968-1984. She and her husband will then be laid to rest at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery near the grave of their daughter Susie.
Neen, Mom, Nana loved us well and was well-loved!
