Elinda Gayle Williams, age 80, of Freetown, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Gayle was a member of Brownstown Church of the Nazarene.
Gayle loved her family, and she enjoyed taking care of the elderly.
Born on August 11, 1943, in Bartholomew County, Gayle was the daughter of Arthur and Flotilla (Hanner) Williams, both of whom preceded her in death.
Survivors include three brothers: Robert Lloyd (Linda) Williams of Freetown, Charles Eric Williams of Brownstown, and Samual Kirk Williams of Freetown; seven sisters: Vivian Faye Eisle of Brownstown, Phyllis June Belcher of North Vernon, Deborah Jean Lazenby of Greensburg, Joyce Ann Piatt of Freetown, Marietta Kaye Williams of Brownstown, Sandra Reene Hercamp of Brownstown, and Karen Edwards of Madison; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, Gayle was also preceded in death by one brother, Randall Lowell Williams.
Funeral services for Elinda Gayle Williams will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Pastor Tim Lichtley officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc.
Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.
Memorials may be given to Brownstown Church of the Nazarene.
