Elizabeth "Toots" Josephine (Maynard) (Reynolds) (Crockett) Marcott, age 95, of Brownstown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Marcott was a dedicated member of Midway Apostolic Church, and she was a homemaker. She loved Jesus and loved attending church.
She deeply loved and cherished her family. She had a strong passion for supporting numerous non-profit organizations and helping those in need. Additionally, she found joy in picking up sticks, wherever she spotted one.
Born on March 26, 1929, in Clearspring, Elizabeth was the daughter of Ira Frank and Delores (Wagner) Maynard, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married to Robert Reynolds, Leslie Crockett and Victor Marcott, all of whom preceded her in death.
Survivors include five sons: Danny (Cindy) Reynolds of Seymour, Lanny Wayne Reynolds of Clearspring, Max Leon Reynolds of Columbus, David Joe (Mary) Crockett of Clearspring, and Kevin (Penny) Crockett of Clearspring; one daughter, Cecila Diane Linne of Atlanta; one brother, Marvin (Ruth) Maynard of Seymour; three sisters: Shirley Reynolds of Medora, Gladys Gilbert of Medora, and Sandra Colvin of Seymour; and many many many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Marcott was also preceded in death by two brothers: Lowell Maynard and Jerry Maynard; and one sister, Carolyn Auffenberg.
Funeral services for Elizabeth "Toots" Josephine (Maynard) (Reynolds) (Crockett) Marcott will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Pastor Jerry Maynard officiating. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, and from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc.
Interment will follow at Clearspring Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Clearspring Baptist Church or Midway Apostolic Church.
