Emily Susanne Darlage, age 50, of Vallonia, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Emily was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wegan.
She was employed as a Customer Service Representative with Jackson County REMC for 20 years. She was also owner and teacher at Shining Spirit Warrior, and she proudly earned her Martial Arts Second Degree Black Belt.
Emily loved her family dearly, and she especially loved watching her sons play football during their years at Brownstown Central High School.
Born on September 2, 1973, in Columbus, Emily was the daughter of Philip Lawrence and Marjorie Ellen (Blevins) Nash. Her father preceded her in death on May 5, 2017, and her mother survives in Brownstown. On September 7, 1996, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wegan, she married Stan Darlage, and he survives in Vallonia.
Survivors also include two sons: Dane Darlage (Chesney Johnson) of Vallonia, and Carson D. Darlage of Vallonia; one brother, Philip Todd (Rachel) Nash of Indianapolis; father-in-law and mother-in law, Roy and Elberta Darlage of Vallonia; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Debbie and Mike Woods of Brownstown; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rhonda and Jack Terrell of Vallonia; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
Emily was also preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Wilbur and Bertha Nash; and her maternal grandparents, Donald and Aletha Blevins.
Funeral services for Emily Susanne Darlage will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wegan, with Pastor Joel Meyer officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 18, 2023, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wegan.
Interment will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wegan Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to ALS Team Gleason or Schneck Medical Center Hospice.
