Gail M. Browalski

December 13, 1953 — August 24, 2021

Gail M. Browalski, age 67, completed her work here on earth and started her new life with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. She was a member of Driftwood Christian Church. Gail's faith was very important to her, and she was involved in several projects presented to her during her life. Gail's love and focus was her family during all her earthly years. She was proud being a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Gail enjoyed being involved as Treasurer of the Fort Vallonia Days committee for thirty years. She coached baseball and softball and was always excited to watch her children and grandchildren participate in their sporting events. Gail was a girl scout leader and board member of the Girl Scout Tulip Trace council, representing our local area for several years, and she enjoyed the excitement of being the local cookie chairman. Gail also loved her classmates and was always involved with their activities. She attended Purdue University for two years. Flowers were a huge part of Gail's life. She attended a flower design school in Chicago, was a designer for many years, and very much enjoyed working in her own flower gardens. Gail also enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, doing crafts, and camping, even when it was over ninety degrees, relaxing on the beach with her sister-in-law, and fishing. Recent years have been a struggle for Gail, but she always treasured the times with her family and friends. Gail never met a stranger and loved sharing life's experiences with everyone she met. Born on December 13, 1953, in Evansville, she was the daughter of Darrell and Rosemary Eisterhold Duffy, both of whom preceded her in death. Gail was blessed by having a second mother in her life, Bonnie Duffy, and she survives in Brownstown. Gail is also survived by her husband of 46 years, Bruce Browalski. They were blessed with three children, who survive: daughters: Shelly (Ron) Farace of Brownstown, and Rosemary Niki Browalski of Brownstown; one son, Eric (Chrissy) Browalski of Scottsburg; seven grandchildren: Britni Farace, Joey Farace, Brindon Walls, Darci Deckard, Ben Deckard, Aiden Browalski, and Jace Browalski; brothers: Nick (Connie) Duffy, and Bryan (Jean) Hansome; nieces: Jenny Villarreal, Jamie Tincher, Megan Compton, Ashley Jachetta, Bridget Disque, Karmen Blevins, Shelly Jansen; and sister-in-law, Sandi (Ken) Felis. Gail was also preceded in death by her sister, Cherie Dowdell; and a nephew, Alan Castetter. Gail was loved and supported by all her aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services for Gail M. Browalski will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Driftwood Christian Church with Pastor Chris Criminger officiating.
