Geneva May Perry, age 89, Brownstown, passed away at 5:08 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at her residence. Geneva was a member of Brownstown Presbyterian Church. She retired from Pantasote in 1988 after 26 years of service. Born March 17, 1923, in Washington County, she was the daughter of Alva and Mary Jane Marshall Arnold, both of whom preceded her in death. On Aug. 23, 1940, in Brownstown, she married Cecil Perry Sr., who preceded her in death in 1994. Survivors include one son, Buck (Melissa) Perry of Seymour; three daughters, Sue (Vernon) Taylor of Seymour, and Connie (Richard) Myers and Jane Perry, both of Brownstown; 18 grandchildren, Stephanie Walker, Peggy Peak, Christi Anthony, Deron Perry, Nicole Cumberworth, Joe Taylor, Perry Myers, Kelli Bugh, Phillis Ballard, Jenny Powell, Mike Baughman, Karen Nielsen, Angela VonFange, Jeffrey Perry, Rhiannon Napier, Kara Wingfield, Richard Baughman and Lisha Self; 31 great-grandchildren; and 33 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Perry Sr.; parents; two sons, Gene and Phil Perry; one grandson, Scott Perry; two brothers, Vance and Earl Ray Arnold; and three sisters; Ethel Hyde, Virginia Goodman and Ruby Cunningham. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Spurgeon Funeral Home Inc., Brownstown, with Brad Napier officiating. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Brownstown Presbyterian Church or Schneck Medical Center Hospice.
