Ilene Mary Topie Wienhorst

Ilene Mary Topie Wienhorst, age 98, of Seymour, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Wienhorst was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Dudleytown. She was a housewife and enjoyed helping on the farm. She loved spending time with her family, and she also loved playing cards.
Born on August 14, 1924, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Henry and Ida Hinnefeld Topie, both of whom preceded her in death. On April 1, 1942, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wegan, she married Lawrence Wienhorst, and he preceded her in death on November 5, 1975.
Survivors include three daughters: Judy McDonald of Brownstown, Jane (Steve) Jaynes of Seymour, and Joyce (Marvin) Boggs of Butlerville; nine grandchildren: Tammy Weaver, Tim McDonald, Amanda Wuestefeld, McKinnon McIntosh, Thea Wehmiller, Kassi Warner, Colt Wienhorst, William Jaynes, and Amos Wienhorst; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, John Wienhorst; one brother, Ben Topie; and two sons-in-law: Richard McDonald and Mitchell McIntosh.
Funeral services for Ilene Mary Topie Wienhorst will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Pastor Ken Davidson officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc.
Interment will be at Emanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Dudleytown.
