Jeffrey McElfresh, age 61, of Brownstown, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023.
Mr. McElfresh was employed at Walmart Distribution Center for more than 20 years, and he also worked at Excel Manufacturing for four years.
Jeff loved to go fishing with his family. He also enjoyed hunting, cooking, making jerky, watching NASCAR, and racing stock cars at Brownstown Speedway. Jeff was an avid I.U. Hoosiers fan and loved watching I.U. sports.
Born on February 13, 1962, in Utah, Jeff was the son of Larry and Toni (Sutton) McElfresh, both of whom preceded him in death. On September 12, 1992, he married Trudy Darlene Miller, and she preceded him in death on December 18, 2005.
Survivors include three sons: Hunter (Brittany) McElfresh of Bloomington, Treyton McElfresh of San Diego, California, and Craig McElfresh; one stepson, Kevin (Libby) Arthur of Bloomington; one stepdaughter, Ashley (Clint) Burcham of Brownstown; one sister, Ronda (Rodger) Lewis of Seymour; one uncle, Ronnie McElfresh; one nephew, Tyler Lewis; and one niece, Tailor (fiancé, Zachery Romero).
Jeff was also preceded in death by one brother, Terry McElfresh.
Funeral services for Jeffrey McElfresh will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Pastor Mitchell McIntyre officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 noon on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc.
Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.
In honor of Jeff's late wife, Trudy McElfresh, memorials may be given to the Don and Dana Myers Cancer Center, and in honor of Jeff's late grandparents, memorials may also be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring staff at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc.
