John R. Carmichael, age 59, of Brownstown, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at his home.
Born on June 11, 1960, in Seymour, he was the son of Harvey Esther and Lillie Mae Neal Carmichael, both of whom preceded him in death.
John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed riding around in vehicles and semi trucks and also watching them drive by, watching television, eating out, and being outdoors.
Survivors include two sisters: Alberta M. Horton and Mary K. (Albert) Dyas; nephews: James (Debbie) Carmichael, Jonathan (Michelle) Horton, Eric Carmichael, and Jerry R. Dyas; and nieces: Shannon (Mark) Luckey, and Candy Ann Dyas.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers: Harvey Eugene Carmichael, and William Joe Carmichael; and three sisters: Karen Kay Carmichael, Roberta L. Carmichael, and Shirley Mae Carmichael.
Funeral services for John R. Carmichael will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 16, 2019, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with James Carmichael officiating. Friends may call from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Houston Cemetery.
