Keith "Myrtle" Lynn Stuckwisch, age 60, of Brownstown, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour.
Mr. Stuckwisch was a life-time member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers, where he was baptized in Christ and confirmed in faith. He graduated from St. John's Lutheran School, Sauers, and was a 1983 graduate of Seymour High School.
Keith loved his family and had a special bond with his grandson, Andrew, who was the light of his life and his greatest source of pride. He cherished the moments spent riding on the lawn mower and taking gator rides with Andrew, creating memories that brought him great joy.
Keith was a hardworking and generous individual, who was always ready and willing to help anyone in need. He dedicated many years to driving over-the-road trucks and later worked for Stuckwisch Farms. He was a long-time member of OOIDA (Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association). Keith had a passion for farming and caring for cows, and he also enjoyed volunteering at the Sauers Fair Stand, watching NASCAR, and listening to Brownstown sports, which reflected his love for both his work and the simple pleasures of life.
Born on October 14, 1964, in Seymour, Keith was the son of Lynn and Diana (Mackey) Stuckwisch, both of whom survive in Seymour. On October 15, 1994, at Brownstown Christian Church, he married Misty Nolan, and she survives in Brownstown.
Survivors also include two daughters: Jessica (Christopher) Edwards of Brownstown, and Macey Stuckwisch of Brownstown; one grandson, Andrew Edwards: two brothers: Eric Stuckwisch of Seymour, and Bart (Mary) Stuckwisch of Seymour; maternal grandmother, Irene Raes; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Chester and Sherry Nolan of Brownstown; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kristy (Tim) Courtney of Vincennes; five nieces: Hannah Courtney, Alannah Courtney, Miranda (Mitchell) Perry, Kristen (Skyler) Stahl, and Megan (Matt) Feathers; two nephews: Grant Stuckwisch and Jared Stuckwisch; three great-nephews: Myles Perry, Harlan Feathers, and Leo Feathers; one great-niece, Margaret Feathers; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Keith was preceded in death by one niece, Kaitlin Stuckwisch; one uncle, Rick Mackey; and two aunts: Gale Pinion and Melba Hoevener.
Funeral services for Keith "Myrtle" Lynn Stuckwisch will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers, with Pastor Craig Muhlbach officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers.
Interment will follow at St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church, Sauers, or Andrew Edwards' Education Fund.
