Kenneth Dale Jones, age 69, of Brownstown, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, October 24, 2025, with his wife of 46 years by his side.

Mr. Jones attended Life Tabernacle.

Kenny worked as a brick mason for over 25 years with the Bricklayers Union. He and his wife were also employed by How's Mobile Home Services, traveling to and serving many states.

Kenny had a lifelong passion for quarter horses, dedicating much of his time to raising and racing them.

Kenny proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He cherished his time in service and loved sharing his experiences with family and friends.

Born on January 10, 1956, in Lawrence County, Kenneth was the son of Clarence Severs and Charlotte June (Hughes) Jones, both of whom preceded him in death. On April 2, 1979, he married Carolyn Sue Barkman, and she survives in Brownstown.

Survivors also include one stepson, David (Sharon) Skaggs of Seymour; three grandchildren: Clinton Luttrell, Tristan Skaggs, and Ashley Skaggs; three sisters: Demona (David) Gates of Norman, Teresa Maschino of Bedford, and Becky (Rick) Jones of Bedford; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Bubby and Billy Bob.

Funeral services for Kenneth Dale Jones will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Pastor David Sawyers officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc.

Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.

Military honors will be presented by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled American Veterans 47, and Vietnam Vets 7.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring staff at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc.
