Obituary

Larry Bryant, age 72, of Seymour, a visionary entrepreneur, skilled pilot and devoted family man, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, leaving a legacy of integrity, craftsmanship, and love.

Mr. Bryant was a member of Emmanuel Church, Seymour campus. His spiritual life was the cornerstone of his character.

Larry’s life was defined by a relentless work ethic and a deep passion for his many pursuits. Professionally, Larry was a brilliant tool and die maker. He embodied the American dream, starting Preferred Tool Company in a humble two-car garage and growing it into a thriving enterprise with 33 employees. Alongside his wife, Beverly, and son, Brandon, he also founded Integrity Molding Incorporated and shared his love for travel as co-owner of Above and Beyond Travel Agency.

Larry was a man of the sky and the great outdoors. He spent many weekends piloting his Cessna 182 to NASCAR races, ball games, and vacations with family and friends. An elite marksman, he was once ranked fifth in the State of Indiana for competitive archery. His love for the outdoors extended to fishing, hunting, and the National Rifle Association, as well as serving his community through the Indiana Gideons.

When he wasn't in the air or the woods, Larry was often found with a guitar in his hands, lifting his voice with the Crothersville Nazarene Quartet and the Brownstown Nazarene Trio. He was also a gifted artist. His wildlife photography and award-winning drawings of wolves and raccoons earned him several Grand Championships at the Jackson County Fair.

Above all his professional and personal accolades, Larry’s greatest passion was his family. He loved his family dearly, and in turn was loved immensely by them, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Larry was his children's and grandchildren’s biggest fan, never missing a sporting event. He took great pride in seeing his legacy continue through his grandson, Bryce, who followed his lead to become both a pilot and a tool and die maker.

Larry’s home was filled with the things he loved: the history of the Civil War, his loyal Shih Tzus, Ozzie and Lucy, and the cheers for his beloved Kentucky Wildcats.

Born on October 14, 1953, in Campbellsville, Kentucky, Larry was the son of Walker and Lacona (Huff) Bryant, both of whom preceded him in death. On April 1, 1983, he married the love of his life, Beverly Foster, and she survives in Seymour.

Survivors also include four sons, whom Larry and Beverly raised together for nearly 43 years: Christopher Bryant of Brownstown, Jeremy Foster (Kylie) of Columbus, Chadd Bryant of Seymour, and Brandon (Jacquie) Bryant of Crothersville; eight grandchildren, who were his pride and joy: Madyson Foster, Makenzie Foster, Zachary Foster, Jaron Bryant, Jerica Bryant, Cherish Bryant, Bryce Bryant, and Allison Bryant; two brothers: Jerry Bryant and Wayne (Tammy) Bryant; two sisters: Debra Bryant and Teresa (Gary) Leis; his in-laws: Corrine Simpson, Linda (Dennis) Roberts, Jeanetta Holmes, Ralph (Darlene) Foster, Danny (Melinda) Foster, Mike (Donna) Foster; several nieces and nephews; and a community of friends and colleagues.

Larry was also preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Willie and Aline Foster.
