Leona Blake, age 91, of Brownstown, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Covered Bridge Health Campus, Seymour, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Blake was a life member of Kurtz Nazarene Church.
Born on March 23, 1925, in Nashville, Indiana, she was the daughter of Sandy and Dorothy Rollin Moore, both of whom preceded her in death. On November 21, 1941, she married Marshall Blake and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters-in-law, Patricia Blake and Gabriele Blake both of Seymour; eight grandchildren: Angie Rucker, Michael Blake, Craig Blake, JR Blake, David Blake, Billy Blake, Jr., Sheila Baugh and Candice Barnett; 18 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by three sons, Marvin Blake, Billy Joe Blake and Randy Blake.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Floyd Fisher officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc.
Burial will be at Kurtz Cemetery.
