Lillian B. Edwards, 89, of Crothersville, peacefully passed away on the evening of Friday, March 7, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her cherished family, one day shy of her 90th birthday. Family was of utmost importance to Lillian. They were her top priority and the center of her world. She treasured her family with all her heart, and they loved her just as much in return. Above all, she especially cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. Lillian was a remarkable cook, renowned for her mouthwatering pies. She shared a deep passion for riding motorcycles with her husband, and she also enjoyed watching Dr. Pol, Family Feud, and Indiana Basketball in her free time. Born on March 8, 1935, in Butterfly, Kentucky, Lillian was the daughter of Charles R. and Viola (Campbell) Breeding, both of whom preceded her in death. On May 15, 1953, in Morristown, she married Carl K. Edwards, and he survives in Crothersville. Survivors include one son, Andy Edwards of Crothersville; one daughter, Michele (Roger) Teipen of Crothersville; three grandchildren: Justin (Stacey) Teipen, Josh (Stacie) Teipen, and Levi Edwards; three great-grandchildren: Cooper Teipen, Nolan Teipen, and Madalyn Teipen; and one sister, Peg (Charles) Gilford of Florida. Besides her parents, Lillian was also preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Henry and JoAnn Breeding; and two sisters and brothers-in-law: Gladys and Lawrence Mosley, and Alene and Wilson Riley. Funeral services for Lillian B. Edwards will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Mark Wooten officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 noon on Monday, March 10, 2025, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow at Russell Chapel Cemetery.
