Marilyn Louise Kamman, age 79, of Brownstown, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, January 21, 2026, at Columbus Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Marilyn was a woman of strong faith. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Brownstown, where she was baptized into Christ on June 23, 1946, and later confirmed in her faith on March 22, 1959. Marilyn devoted many years to serving her church as a Sunday School teacher, sharing her love for children, and faithfully helped with the church’s annual soup supper for countless years.
Marilyn served as a dedicated administrative assistant at Jackson-Jennings Farm Bureau Co-op in Brownstown for 49 years, where she formed many lasting friendships with rural farmers. She truly loved her work and cared deeply for each farm family, walking alongside them through both joyful and difficult seasons of life.
Beyond her professional life, Marilyn found her greatest joy in time spent with her family. Her love for children was evident in everything she did, especially as she enjoyed babysitting, creating family photo albums, quilting, and working on the farm. Marilyn was a dear and faithful friend to many. She gave her love freely and was deeply loved in return.
Born on June 5, 1946, at her home in Brownstown, Marilyn was the daughter of Victor and Norma (Wischmeier) Kamman, both of whom preceded her in death.
