Marjory Richardson, age 93, of Brownstown, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 6, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Richardson was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Marjory dedicated many years of her career to Medora Plastic Factory and later to Furniture House, where she was a valued and hardworking employee. Marjory dearly loved her family and cherished every moment spent with them, especially with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her most important job was being a "mom," a role she embraced with love and devotion every minute of her life. Her home was always open to family, friends, and anyone in need, as it was a welcoming place filled with love. Mrs. Richardson had a deep passion for gardening, canning, tending to her flowers, and researching her family's genealogy. Born on December 8, 1931, in Hartman, Colorado, Marjory was the daughter of Paul and Naomi Ruth (Eaton) Goodwin, both of whom preceded her in death. On December 23, 1948, in Las Vegas, Nevada, she married Franklin Richardson, and he preceded her in death on October 3, 2000. Survivors include two sons: Michael (Vicky) Richardson, and Donald (Chelsea) Richardson; four daughters: Linda (George) Humphrey, Deborah Holle, Deanna Martin, and Darlene (Terry) Reed; 20 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Linda Goodwin; and sister-in-law, Mary Goodwin. Marjory was also preceded in death by one daughter, Shelly Atkins; one son-in-law, Michael Holle; two brothers: Frankie Goodwin and Jim Goodwin; and two sisters: Dororthy "Dot" Norton, and Pauline "Peg" Sparlin. Funeral services for Marjory Richardson will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Brother Tracey Lykins officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown. Memorials may be given to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring staff at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc.
