Mary Jane Goforth Fleming

Mary Jane Goforth Fleming, age 73, of Sebastian, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. Mrs. Fleming graduated from Clearspring High School and moved to Sebastian, Florida, in 1972. Mary Jane was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Vero Beach, Florida. She was a CNA and care giver in Sebastian and Vero Beach, Florida for many years. Born on September 9, 1943 in Seymour, Indiana, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Mary F. Goforth, both of whom preceded her in death. She married George Fleming and he also preceded her in death. In addition, her brother Bill Goforth and wife, Rose Goforth, also preceded her in death. Survivors include four stepdaughters: Karen Gothan, Dianne (David) Samon, and Beth (Donald) Mather, all of Rochester, New York; and Mary Jane Fleming of Orman Beach, Florida; one stepson: Steven Fleming of Orman Beach, Florida; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three sisters: Joyce Ann (Jack) Barrett of Frankton, Indiana; Marilyn (Joe) Bond of Kurtz, Indiana, and Norma (Jack) Sanderson of Kenansville, Florida; two brothers, Larry (Judy) Goforth of Kurtz, Indiana, and Jack (Dora) Goforth of Clearspring, Indiana; seven nieces; and seven nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Local arrangements are being handled by Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc. Brownstown.
