Mary Lois Sherrill, age 65, of Norman, passed away on Saturday, January 12,
2019 at IU Health Hospice House with her loving husband by her side.
Mary worked at Cook Medical retiring after 15 years of service. She was known
as a notorious hugger, by all her friends and family around the world. She followed
her husband around the country as he competed in 22 bench rest competitive
shooting.
Born on September 19, 1953, in Sullivan, she was the daughter of Jack and
Charlotte Hix Hardin, both of whom preceded her in death. On March 9, 1974, in
Sullivan, she married Michael Sherrill and he survives in Norman.
Survivors also include one sister, Margie Lawson of Linton. Mary was an aunt and a great-aunt to several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Jack Hardin, Jr.; and one
brother-in-law, Harold Lawson.
Funeral services for Mary Lois Sherrill will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Bruce Bond officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Kurtz Cemetery.
