Maverick Lee Flinn, of Seymour, a beloved child of God, passed away unexpectedly on Monday evening, June 23, 2025, on the family farm at the age of 4.
Maverick was baptized in Christ on February 4, 2021, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, where he faithfully attended church with his family. He loved planting and harvesting with his toy tractors in the church pew and happily shared them with other children and adults nearby.
Maverick's life was full of joy and curiosity. His bright smile and kind spirit touched everyone he met, especially his friends and teachers at Immanuel Lutheran Child Care Ministry, a place that held special meaning for the Flinn family. He was deeply loved by the entire childcare community. Maverick made friends easily, and even at a young age, his faith was a quiet source of joy and peace.
Maverick's laughter and boundless energy lit up every room he entered. He never met a stranger and brought happiness to all who knew him. He was happiest when outside, surrounded by family and friends. From running around with a smile, swimming, and exploring the farm, to pillow fights with his cousins, racing monster trucks, and playing soccer, Maverick loved every moment of life. Visiting his dad at the fire station, hanging out with the firefighters, and exploring the fire trucks also brought him extreme excitement.
God's child had the brightest smile, a heart full of love, and gave the very best hugs. His time on earth was far too short, but the love he gave and received will remain forever.
Born on December 15, 2020, in Seymour, Maverick was the beloved son of Mitchell and Mariah (Nolan) Flinn of Seymour. Survivors also include his baby brother, Maddox Fox Flinn, whom he was so proud of and loved beyond words; maternal mimi and papaw, Eddie and Holly Nolan of Seymour; paternal gigi and pappers, Craig and Stephanie Flinn; maternal great-grandparents, Dean and Shirley Pratt, and Bill and Margaret Nolan; paternal great-grandparents, Pat and Linda Flinn, and Charles Fox; uncles and aunts: Zach and Katie Flinn, and Justin and Taylor Nolan; cousins: Baker Nolan, Owen Flinn, and Harrison Flinn; and many extended family members and countless friends.
