Patricia Ann Rucker, age 88, of Seymour, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, January 21, 2026, at her home in Spraytown, surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia was a faithful member of Spraytown Methodist Church for more than 30 years. She deeply loved her family and especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. Alongside her husband, she owned and operated Rucker’s Upholstery and Refinishing, a trade she loved for decades and through which she made many lasting friendships. Together, they also ran the Spraytown Grocery, where they provided meals and deliveries to the Cummins Walesboro Plant and Rose Acre Farms. Patricia had a special love for animals, particularly her beloved Yorkie, Mimi.

Born on December 12, 1937, in Indianapolis, Patricia was the daughter of Boston and Florence (Davis) McQueen, both of whom preceded her in death. In 1955, she married Darrell Eugene Rucker at the Rucker family home, and he preceded her in death on April 7, 2021.

Survivors include two sons: Vince Leonard Rucker of Seymour, and Kevin Lynn Rucker of Seymour; seven grandchildren: Sarah Rucker, Valerie Shelton, Andrew Rucker, Chase Rucker, Adam Rucker, Jacob Rucker, and Nathan Rucker; fourteen great-grandchildren: Tristen Smith, Brookelyn Smith, Jeremiah Oliger, Jr., Jerika Oliger, Jace Oliger, Jayleigh Oliger, Jaylynn Oliger, Jersey Oliger, Laiken Oliger, Avary Shutters, Oaklyn Hess, Bella Sexton, Keaton Roy, and Tyler Roy; three great-great grandchildren: Waylen Roy, Ellie Roy, and Westley Smith; five brothers: Richard McQueen, Don McQueen, Mark McQueen, Preston McQueen, and Roy McQueen; and one sister, Karen McQueen.

Patricia was also preceded in death by one son, Barry Rucker; one great-grandchild, Jenna Oliger; five brothers: Fredrick McQueen, Bob McQueen, Kenny McQueen, Dave McQueen, and Larry McQueen, and one sister, Sharon McQueen.

Funeral services for Patricia Ann Rucker will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Pastor Jerry L. VanKuiken officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc.

Interment will follow at Acme Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Spraytown Methodist Church.
