Obituary

Patricia Ann Stuckwisch, age 77, of Brownstown, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Stuckwisch was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wegan, and she was also a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League for more than 50 years.
Pat was a homemaker and had the privilege of staying home and raising her children until they were grown and on their own in life. She also helped on the family farm. Pat loved spending time with her family, especially entertaining her grandchildren. She also loved boating and camping as a family, attending her family's sporting events, quilting, reading, canning, and bowling with her friends on her bowling league for many years.
Born on September 14, 1944, in Manchester, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Burchell and Irene Philpot Maxie, both of whom preceded her in death. On September 1, 1963, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wegan, she married Clarence Lynn Stuckwisch and he survives in Brownstown.
Survivors also include one son, Jeffrey (Jacqueline) Stuckwisch of Brownstown; three daughters: Sherry (Michael) Schult of Seymour, Shelly (Stacy) Lengacher of Loogootee, and Sheila (Michael) Bolton of Greenwood; three brothers: Barton (Donna) Maxie of Crothersville, Carl (Debbie) Maxie of Columbus, and Joe Burchell Maxie of Seymour; two sisters: Carolyn Jones of Crothersville, and Josephine (Gerald) Gray of Casselberry, Florida; 14 grandchildren: Daniel (Leslie) Stuckwisch, Sarah Stuckwisch, Leah Stuckwisch, Matthew Stuckwisch, Hannah (Adam) Faurot, Jacob (Abby) Schult, Abigail Schult, Luke Lengacher, Brynn Lengacher, Rachel Bolton, and Jason Bolton; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Pat was also preceded in death by a sister, Jeweldine Hall.
Funeral services for Patricia Ann Stuckwisch will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 4, 2021, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wegan, with Pastor Jeffrey Stuckwisch and Pastor Jordan McKinley officiating. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wegan.
Interment will be at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wegan Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wegan Cemetery, Lutheran Central School, Trinity Lutheran High School, or Schneck Medical Center Hospice.
